Q. I am 82 suffering from hemolytic anemia and severe
short of breath. I am taking already for 2 years Toprol xl 25 mg to correct my
short of breath. Unfortunately my breathing condition did not improve ,they are
getting worse .My doctor is reluctant to take me off Toprol, instead he wants to
increase the dose. I have already with the current dose a lot of side effects,
like insomnia, diarrhea, dizziness, poor thinking, slow reactions and some other
symptoms. For this reason I would like to stop taking Toprol. I would greatly
appreciate your advice.
