Prostate Power Rx questions *
Q. Can I take Prostate Power Rx if I am taking Avodart?
A. Some people find the daily use of Avodart causes side effects. Perhaps
alternating one day of Avodart and another day of Prostate Power Rx could
minimize the Avodart side effects.
Q. Should I take one or two capsules of Prostate Power Rx daily?
A. We allow the option to take one or two depending on your need and preference.
Some people may wish to take a day or two off a week.
Q. My doctor has me on Proscar for prostate issue. Can I add Prostate Power Rx
as a prostate formula to my regimen?
A. As with Avodart above, Proscar can cause side effects such as lower libido or
sexual interest or even difficulty with erection. You may ask your doctor if you
can take the Proscar every other day while substituting the Prostate Power Rx on
the off days from Proscar. Proscare and Avodart are very effective in helping
with prostate enlargement, but many times patients are helped by these drugs by
taking a lower dose or by taking them less frequently.
Q. Can I take Prostate Power Rx the same day as Passion Rx?
A. We suggest you not take Prostate Power Rx on the days that you take Passion
Rx. In the long run, Passion Rx may only be needed 2 or 3 days a week since it
is potent.
Q. I have found Prostate Power Rx prostate
formula very effective for a number of years, but now my prostate is enlarged to
the degree that my doctor has now prescribed: Ketorolac, Nimesulid, and a
combination Phenazopyridine, sulfafurazole, tetracycline. Is it okay to continue
taking Prostate Power Rx herbal supplement while taking these drugs?
A. We have no feedback from Prostate Power Rx users as to the
interaction of this supplement with these drugs. To be on the safe side, have
approval by your doctor and consider taking only one capsule of Prostate Power
Rx a day, with a day or two off each week.

Q. Before I order the Prostate

the drug cardura which I take for the prostate gland in the evenings and also
with the thyroxine I take in the morning.
A. You may wish to start with one capsule of Prostate Power Rx

tolerate the new supplement. There are no easy answers since each person reacts
differently to combinations of drugs and herbal products. We suggest approval by
your doctor.
Q. For about nine months I had mixed results using another product that contained Beta-Sitesterol plus a number of minerals such as zinc, copper, manganese, etc.. I replaced the aforementioned supplement with Prostate Power Rx and within two to three weeks I experienced a truly significant improvement in my condition. Now after about six weeks of use I am a very happy camper. I now only get up during the night ,one or two times as opposed to three, four and sometimes five times. Also, during the day I have very much more control over my need to find a men's room. I highly recommend Prostate Power Rx.
Q. I have a question regarding Prostate Power Rx.
Does this product help reduce the size of an enlarged prostate? We are looking
for the supplement for an enlarged prostate for the Japanese market. Do you an
agent or have you marketed this product in Japan?
Prostate Power Rx is formulated with herbs that are known to be
beneficial for prostate health and it is formulated by Dr. Ray Sahelian, M.D..
We are not allowed to make claims that it treats a prostate condition since the
FDA would then consider it as a drug. Only drugs approved by the FDA can make
such claims. We can say that it helps support a healthy prostate. We are not
sure what the laws are in Japan regarding making such claims that it treats
prostate enlargement. We have not marketed this product in Japan but this is a
possibility.
Q. Are any of the ingredients in Prostate Power Rx
harmful to the Liver?
A. Not that we are aware of at this time.
Q. I am a male,52 years old. I have no prostate
problems - I have had the exam, there is no frequent urination, I have to get up
once a night but I have been doing that ever since I was young. Should I take a
supplement such as Prostate Power Rx as an insurance against future problems.
A. Prostate Power Rx has healthy herbs and nutrients but there is
no need to take it for someone with no prostate symptoms. One option is to just
take one capsule once or twice a week rather than daily.
Prostate Power Rx side effects
Q. I took Prostate Power Rx for several months and lowered my PSA results. After
5 months I experienced one problem which forced me to stop taking Prostate Power
Rx. I developed gout in my left big toe joint which left me limping. At first I
thought it was due to another supplement that I took, but when I stopped the
Prostate Power Rx and all other supplements the gout slowly went away and when I
restarted just the Prostate Power Rx the gout returned. Since then, I
discontinued the Prostate Power Rx and the gout went away. I would like to
determine which component of Prostate Power Rx contained the gout inducing
ingredient (purines or other). I use Beta Sitosterol supplements now and have no
gout problems from that formulation. One thought is that the gout is coming from
one component isolated from soybeans, a legume that is on several gout causing
lists. However, I'd like to check which of your components in Prostate Power Rx
is from soybeans so that I could avoid those components. I have taken Lycopene
in the past and had some weakness in my foot, (but no gout), but the level of
supplement was much higher than in Prostate Power Rx formula (when discontinued
the foot problem went away before). The level in Prostate Power Rx is much lower
than the previous supplement and was probably not the gout inducing component. I
don't know if you can check the purine content of Prostate Power Rx formula, but
I would appreciate
that report if you have that information. I haven't tried the other components
individually to know which ones
might give me gout susceptibility. If you could tell me which ones are from
soybeans, legumes, mushrooms,
or other possible gout causing sources, I would appreciate that. I don't have
experience with Saw Palmetto extract alone. I have experience with Stinging
Nettle in combination with Niacin. I had severe flushing with a formulation
and stopped that supplement. It didn't cause the gout however. That has been
listed as a possible gout causative agent. But I stopped that supplement before
the gout attacks started, and as I reported the stopping and starting of the
Prostate Power Rx supplements does cause my gout to be induced.
I haven't taken Quercetin Dihydrate alone and don't know its source.
I haven't taken Rosemary Extract alone and don't know its purine content.
I haven't taken Pygeum Extract alone and don't know its source or purine
content.
Are the Phytosterols in the Phytosterol complex in Prostate Power Rx from
Soybeans?
I haven't taken Daidzen alone and don't know the source or purine content.
I haven't taken Genistein alone and don't know the source or purine content.
As I reported above, the Beta sitosterol supplement I am taking now
has not caused my gout to return. It contains Beta sitosterol, Campesterol,
Stigmosterol and Citrus Pectin. I would appreciate a report on the sources of
your components if possible ,so that the beneficial ones with no gout inducing
ones could be tried. Or if you have a formulation without components from
soybeans or other legumes, I would appreciate your informing me so that I could
try that formulation. If others report on any gout problems (maybe I have some
susceptibility to soybeans as an allergic or sensitizing agent), please inform
them that ibuprofen and apple cider vinegar use will eventually get
rid of the gout. (Also avoid gout causing foods, peas, lima beans, mushrooms,
aspargus, soybeans etc.)
As I reported, the PSA results, were lowered after using Prostate
Power Rx, and I would like that benefit, but without the gout. (I haven't gotten
test results yet with just the Beta Sitosterol supplement.)
A. This is the first we have heard of Prostate Power Rx related to
gout symptoms after several
years on the market. Rather than trying to figure out the source of the raw
materials, which is difficult since we have to contact the manufacturer of each
ingredient and different batches may come from different places, it may be best
to just take the individual ingredients in Prostate Power Rx by themselves for a
period of a month to see if your gout symptoms return. Purine alone is not the
only influence on gout formation. Purine is found in the protein foods we eat in
significantly higher content that would be present in supplements.
