Good Night Rx was formulated to be used in the evening. The following are some reasons a person may wish to take Good Night Rx:
In order to provide natural help from occasional sleepless nights. Good Night Rx is not as powerful as pharmaceutical sleeping pills, but it can help you relax and provide a deeper sleep than you would otherwise. Good Night Rx is not formulated for those who have chronic insomnia and are hooked on pharmaceutical sleeping pills. Underlying causes of insomnia should be addressed.
To reduce stress and frustration. If you have had a difficult day at work or due to an emotional matter, Good Night Rx can be taken in the evening to help occasional simple nervous tension or nervousness due to common every day overwork and fatigue. Good night Rx can provide a relaxed feeling to help you calm down and gently soothe away tension, helping you partially or mostly resolve that irritability that ruins your day.

How Dr. Ray Sahelian, M.D. came to develop
Good Night Rx - printed with permission
For many years I have been trying to formulate a product that
provides a deeper sleep, not cause morning drowsiness, and not cause
nightmares. Melatonin and 5-HTP can help with sleep, but they can also
induce nightmares. I personally have difficulty sleeping at times since I
have an active mind late into the night and can't always shut it off at
bedtime. I have trouble sleeping also if I have not exercised that day.
After many years of trial and error, I think I have finally developed a
good sleep enhancer. For more than a decade I have experimented with
combinations of several herbs and nutrients such as valerian, hops,
chamomile, sleep inducing Chinese herbs such as jujube and bupleurium,
lemon balm, kava, gaba, 5-HTP and melatonin, etc I have finally found a
combination that seems to be quite helpful. Good Night Rx does not have
the knockout punch as do some pharmaceutical sleep meds such as Ambien or
Lunesta, but it seems to be quite helpful for those who sometimes are
tense in the evening, have occasional sleepless nights, and need something
to help them relax and provide a deeper sleep than normal. This is a new
product, and so far almost everyone who has tried it has noticed a
benefit. As with many herbal products, or even pharmaceutical drugs, Good
Night Rx will not work in everyone. Sometimes the benefits are noticed on
subsequent nights. The capsule is best absorbed on an empty stomach,
generally anywhere between half an hour to 3 hours before bed. My research
staff and I found that taking it after a meal was not as effective. We
suggest not using it more than 3 nights a week, and it is a good idea to
take a week off from it each month. As with any pill, it is impossible to
have one dosage that works for everyone. Discuss
with your doctor before use if you have any medical conditions or are
taking medicines.
Good Night Rx side effects
Thus far we have not had reports of nightmares, memory problems, or grogginess
in the morning with the use of Good Night Rx. There are occasional reports of
difficulty with maintaining a strong erection the morning after using Good Night
Rx, and this resolves itself by the afternoon or evening.
Good Night Rx questions and emails
Q. When is the
best time to take Good Night Rx?
A. Each person is different, but a range of 30 minutes
to 4 hours before sleep, most often 1 to 3 hours before sleep is acceptable for
many people.
Q. If I took
Good Night Rx would I test positive for benzodiazepines just like the other
sleep medications such as flurazepam (Dalmane), alprazolam (Xanax) and triazolam
(Halcion), are used as sleeping aids.
A. No. There are no benzodiazepines in Good Night Rx. There are no
prescription drugs or any drugs in Good Night Rx. All the ingredients are
natural.
Q. Can I take
Good Night Rx with a pharmaceutical sleeping pill?
A. We discourage the use of Good Night Rx the same
night as a drug.
Q. Can I take 2
capsules of Good Night Rx at one time?
A. Only if you have previously tried one capsule and
you feel you needed a higher dose and your doctor approves.
Q. Can I take a
second capsule of Good Night Rx after I have taken one capsule?
A. Some people benefit from taking a second capsule of
Good Night Rx 2 or 3 hours after taking the first one.
Q. My wife has
been taking Amitriptyline (50mg, 3X at bedtime) which seems like a lot to me,
for years. She says she needs it for restful sleep. She has mild CP (celebral
palsy) and is 64 years old. I was wondering if Good Night Rx formula might be a
better choice for her because I have noticed some of the side effects listed
below for Amitriptyline in her and they are mostly chronic constipation,
Tinnitus, some mild confusion, low libido, and a rosy (sometimes bright) redness
on her face (cheeks) (sometimes) as if it's rosacea.
A. If her doctor approves she can substitute Good Night Rx a couple
of times a week for the amitriptyline. Good Night Rx is best taken on an empty
stomach about 2 to 3 hours before bed. A snack can be eaten after at least a
half hour after taking the Good Night Rx capsule.
Q. I would like
to try Good Night Rx, but have questions. How would you suggest I take it as I
taper of Ativan. I cannot simply go off Ativan or I'll go into withdrawal.
Should I take the whole capsule or should I open it and take part of it? 2. If I
take it out of the capsule do I still have to take it on an empty stomach? I
have digestion issues, so I have to eat a little all day. Please advise the best
way to do this ie. how long after eating/before eating. Can I take 500 mg of T-tryptophan
along with it?
A. We appreciate your email but we can't give such specific advice,
that would be considered treatment guidelines and the FDA does not allow
supplement sellers to give specific treatment information. We have to refer you
to your physician who may wish to recommend lower amounts of either of the
Ativan or Good Night Rx if combined. Good night rx works best on empty stomach,
about 2 to 4 hours before bed, and sometimes it works better the second or third
night it is used.

Good
Night Rx testimonials
I am a health food store owner. Over the years I have taken practically every
herb or supplement, including valerian, 5-HTP, tryptophan, hops, and others for
insomnia, and nothing worked. Good Night Rx is the only product that has helped
me fall asleep. I find that I need 2 capsules to work.
